Playing the Credit Scoring Game

with 2 comments

I was over at the Little House in the Valley blog reading Incredible Credit Scores! It caught my attention because I was thinking about getting my credit score to see where I am at before I go talk to a lender about getting a mortgage.

Little House has a dream, to buy a house, and has one hurdle we all have to deal with when it comes to buying a house, the credit scores.  Her 2009 goal was to increase her credit score by 100 points of which she has accomplished.

She really has a pretty good graph showing how her credit scores have improved over the course of 2009.  It certainly pays to fix your credit scores.  All it takes is a little time and motivation.

Motivation? Obviously, your motivation is a good credit score.

Time?  You have time.  It will not happen overnight but as time flies by, each letter you make to the bureau, each payment you make on time, each action you take to improve your credit score will result in a better score.

On a side note…

I came across Little House in the Valley through Financial Samauri’s blogroll.  Be sure to check out your favorite site’s blogrolls.  You never know what terrific blogs you may find around the corner on cyberspace.
